Greetings for the day.
This is Raj and I've following setup & would like to understand how it works for the Docker instances for RouteServer.
Referring to tutorial How to Configure CloudRouter containers as a Route Server
( https://cloudrouter.atlassian.net/wiki/display/CPD/How+to+Configure+CloudRouter+containers+as+a+Route+Server?src=contextnavpagetreemode )
Created 3 independent VM's in same network and each has cloudrouter/bird-centos container.
I'm able to ping VM host ip's in Container and across VM's as well such as
VM1 (10.1.1.1) -> container (172.17.0.1) -> customerA
VM2 (10.1.1.2)> container (172.17.0.1)> routeServer
VM3(10.1.1.3) > container (172.17.0.1)> customerB
While defining the router-id in each container /etc/bird.conf, I've used 10.1.1.0/24 IP address respectively but still BGP sessions are not established.
Please help me in above scenarios and how to set router-id in bird.conf for each container to make it work.
